Preparing for an HR interview? These are the questions recruiters ask most — and how to answer them confidently.
1. Tell me about yourself.
Keep it professional and structured: current role → key achievements → why you’re here. Aim for 90 seconds maximum.
2. Why do you want to leave your current job?
Stay positive. Talk about what you’re moving toward, not what you’re running from. “I’m looking for a role where I can…” works much better than criticising your current employer.
3. What is your biggest strength?
Choose a strength that’s relevant to the role and back it with a specific example using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
